HILLSIDE, Ill. - Matt Rafferty hit a game-tying three pointer at the end of regulation to help lead Hinsdale Central to a 58-55 overtime win over Homewood-Flossmoor in the sixth-place bracket of the Proviso West Holiday Tournament. Hinsdale Central (8-3) led by a many as 14 in the first half and led by 10 points at the half, but Homewood-Flossmoor (6-5) surged back in the second half, cutting the Red Devils' lead down to just two points (35-33) at the end of the third quarter.  A 7-0 run early in the fourth put Homewood-Flossmoor on top 40-38. The Vikings built a 47-43 lead with 35 seconds remaining. Chase Hamilton splashed home a three-pointer to bring Hinsdale Central to within one point with 26 seconds remaining. Dorian McCraney hit a pair of free throws with 22 seconds left to give Homewood-Flossmoor a three-point lead.  After a missed three-pointer by Hamilton, Rafferty grabbed the offensive rebound, dribbled back outside the arc and hit the game-tying three pointer at the buzzer. 

In the extra period, Homewood-Flossmoor quickly went on top by three on a McCraney three-pointer, but Hinsdale Central pulled even with two minutes to play.  A free throw from Jaylen Thompson gave H-F a 54-53 lead with 1:24 left, but a lay-up from Rafferty put Hinsdale Central on top by one with 1:06 left. A free throw from Tia Odiase tied the game with 23 seconds left. Hinsdale Central earned the win when Thomas Ives burried a three-pointer with just three seconds left to play. Rafferty powered Hinsdale Central with a double-double, totaling 25 points and 15 rebounds while also adding six steals. Jordan Bradshaw added eight points for the Red Devils in the victory.
